When using "dial-up"
services to connect to the Internet, you can expect occasionally
to be disconnected. That can be frustrating if you have just spent
time filling out a form but haven't yet submitted it.
If you experience
this misfortune, do NOT close Netscape or whatever web browser you're
using. Simply reconnect (go back to your dial-up software) and continue
completing your form or whatever you were doing. At most, you might
need to minimize your web browser if you need to look for icons
on the desktop but, whatever you do, don't close (exit from) the
web browser.
Closing your
web browser while you frantically try to figure out what has gone
wrong is guaranteed to result in the loss of everything entered
on a form if that form hasn't yet been submitted.
For more information
about web browser disconnects, please contact your Computer Field
Specialist or call Extension Information Technology at 979/845-9689.
Be sure you explain to the telephone receptionist that you're calling
about telephone disconnects while using Netscape.
